Wilfredo Corredera, MD

Dr. Corredera has been with Family Medical Group since its inception as one of the original founders.  He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loma Linda University in California and his Medical Degree from the University of Montemorelos in Mexico.  He finished his residency in Family Medicine in 1992 at the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale where he was Chief Resident.  He is board certified in Family Medicine as well as a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.  While he is well versed in all aspects of Family Medicine his passion is prevention of Cardiovascular Disease.  He enjoys traveling with his wife, Ivette, when he gets a chance and gardening during his free time.

Daniel Montero, MD

Dr. Montero has been with Family Medical Group since 2000, becoming a partner in 2003.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Loma Linda University and his Medical Degree from The University of Montemorelos in Mexico.  He finished his residency in Family Medicine at Northwestern University’s St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.  He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.  Ever since grade school he remembers always wanting to be a doctor.  This lifelong dream to partner with his patients in seeking “whole person health” has sustained his love for medicine to this day.  This includes his specialized focus in diabetes management.  When not working you will find him gardening, reading, or enjoying traveling with his wife, Zeljka.

Cheryl Carter, APRN

Cheryl Carter is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Family Medical Group in 2005 after moving from Wabash, IN.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude and her Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner from Indiana Wesleyan University.  After receiving her degree, she practiced in North Manchester, IN before joining FMG. In 2009 she went to North Texas where she was instrumental in opening a successful clinic in an underserved area of Dallas at the request of the local hospital.  After successfully establishing the clinic she returned to FMG in 2011.  Her passion for healthcare springs from the care she recalls receiving during a childhood illness.  This nurtured a desire to do the same for her patients which has earned her accolades from those she cares for in our practice.  During those rare times of leisure, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.

Andrea Walker, APRN

Andrea Walker is an AANP Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who recently joined Family Medical Group.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami.  Originating from Miami, she came to Lake Placid, Florida in 2012 when she originally started working for Family Medical Group.  She left to start a family among other endeavors and after 12 years we are happy to have her back in our family.  While working as an AmeriCorps member at a community clinic in Miami, she was impressed with the nurse practitioners she worked with serving in schools and affiliated outreach centers.  She saw the impact they had on the patients and felt she could better serve patients with the level of care provided by just that kind of training.  That has since provided her with the drive to educate and assist patients in their pursuit of a happy and healthy life.  She enjoys sketching, sewing and spending time with her family when not helping patients obtain whole health wellness.

Nicole Lorden, APRN

Nicole Lorden is an AANP Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who recently joined the Family Medical Group. She received a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of South Florida as well as a Master of Science in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude from Purdue University Global. Through her professional and clinical experiences over the last two decades, she has built a solid foundation in nursing and cultivated expertise in managing a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. Nicole has a genuine love for serving others, and she maintains a deep-seated belief in the power of holistic care where physical, emotional, and social factors intertwine to shape an individual’s health journey. Outside of her professional life, Nicole finds joy and rejuvenation in spending time with her family and immersing herself in the great outdoors. As an avid runner and triathlete, she thrives on the challenges and rewards of endurance sports and pushing herself to new heights of physical and mental resilience.
